Custom System Configurations
Welcome to the GamePower Systems custom systems section. We allow you to design and customize a complete pc solution, from over 1000 available core components. We've gone to great lengths to ensure that the selection process is as simple and flexible as possible; however, due to the complex nature of system design, it may not be clear to a less experienced user which parts work well together, or even which parts work at all with one another. Therefore we strongly recommend that users who are unsure about designing their own configuration contact us, and use our expertise to get the solution that they need. Take a look at some of our meticulously designed systems within our PC Systems section. See below for a brief explaination of the basics of selecting parts for your new custom PC!
The selection of parts for a new PC is a highly specialized process, and we recommend first browsing through some of our preconfigured systems to get a better idea of which parts we have used in some of our existing systems. Before building your system, keep in mind what you will be using the system for on a day to day basis, what your budget is, what future upgrade paths will the system require, and so on. Note that to have a working PC you'll need at least the following components...
Processor (CPU)
Motherboard (or mainboard)
RAM (system memory)
Chassis (or enclosure, case)
Power Supply
This forms the core of your new system, and is the bare minimum required for it to "boot". However to actually do something with your PC, you'll also want to include...
Hard Disk (or harddrive)
Optical Drive (CD-ROM or DVD-ROM)
Video Card (Unless the Motherboard has intergrated video)
Operating System (ie Microsoft Windows)
